NewsXplosiva ha anunciado la 14ª edición de Alfa MiTo Club To Club,#C2C14, international festival of music & arts. El festival volverá a celebrarse en Turín (Italia), del 5 al 9 de noviembre de 2014, las mismas fechas de la Semana de Arte Contemporáneo. Contará con nuevas localizaciones (hoteles, espacios históricos, teatros, distritos creativos y almacenes post-industriales), proyectos innovadores y partners especiales. El tema creativo para este año será El Caballo De Troya. Todos los nuevos detalles del festival serán anunciados por la organización en las próximas semanas.

Los españoles somos divertidos (lo dice Lonely Planet). La gracia es nuestro equipamiento básico de serie. Encerramos en nuestro genoma un cromosoma lleno de guasa y chispa, que no se puede aguantar. En contrapartida, ese sentido del humor hiperdesarrollado nos impide tomarnos las cosas en serio, incluida la firme determinación de resultar graciosos de verdad. Como además somos un poco vagos, nos aburren las cosas trascendentales. Somos más de frivolidades deshuesadas, porque entretenerse con lo insustancial no cuesta ningún trabajo. Dejarse llevar por una alegría irracional es un acto reflejo, innato, como atragantarse cuando intentas beber y reírte a la vez.
Llevado esto a la música, pocas producciones son tan nobles como las abiertamente destinadas a hacer feliz a quien las escucha (no confundir con la música que solo busca entretener). Realmente, su potencial lúdico puede mover montañas. Hypersunday forma parte de esa contracorriente fresca y desahogada que se deja de tonterías para tomarse esto como una responsabilidad ineludible, porque ser divertido de veras es un trabajo solemne, que requiere gusto, inteligencia y esfuerzo.
Este dúo madrileño se beneficia de la larguísima experiencia de sus dos componentes. Ni Héctor González ni Silvia Nieto (niet!) son unos recién llegados en el oficio. Poco a poco se han ido desprendiendo de las últimas trazas de ingenuidad. Ambos pertenecen a ese grupo de personas obstinadas que perseveran en lo suyo, sea o no comprendido y valorado, y que no hacen concesiones en busca del éxito. Commedia – Intro es un ejercicio de generosidad jovial y festivo, no exento de cierta mala leche y aristas cortantes, que evita transitar el atajo fácil que conduce a gustar a todo el mundo. Es una apuesta incondicionada por la pista de baile, irresistible, con algunos guiños codificados que los oyentes de tímpano curtido reconocerán sin proponérselo. Es una celebración luminosa y colorista, llena de alusiones canallas a todas las fiestas vividas y su huella dejada en el cuerpo.
Este EP te pondrá las pilas y te levantará el ánimo. Acierta en el clavo en su principal propósito: te pintará en el rostro una sonrisa de felicidad sincera.

DVS1, aka Minneapolis-raised Zak Khutoretsky, will release a new Klockworks record on the 16th of July 2014. It will be his third outing on Ben Klock’s label, following acclaimed records in both 2009 and 2011.
DVS1 is not just a techno DJ or producer, when the time is right his sets will gladly diverge into other styles to take the dancefloor where he sees fit, and his studio work too. ‘Black Russian’ sounds DVS1 like in house mode, as dub techno-inspired piano chords repeat to infinity, floating above padded kicks and moving hihats.
This is one of the lightest tracks released under the DVS1 alias, but it’s still equipped to create blissful ecstasy when played – a favourite closing track for both DVS1 and Ben Klock. Flip over to the B-side and it’s back to Zak’s usual tone of dark techno, the style exhibited on his previous two Klockworks 12″s. The eerie bleeps and haunting atmospheres of ‘Creepin’ evolve for seven minutes, driven along by shuffling high-end percussion. It is understated and subtly arranged as a tool, the kind of track DJs rely on to keep momentum building with energy and elegance.
‘Spying’ is another prime example of DVS1’s take on minimalism, it is stripped-down and makes the most of the fewest possible elements. ‘Spying’ cropped up in Ben Klock’s Fabric mix last year, and has been been a staple in his DJ sets; for good reason, it embodies the deep pulse and light/dark contrast of all Klockworks output.
2014 has already provided three stellar DVS1 releases, two on his own label Hush and this. It’s all evidence that this producr’s work in the studio is now on par with his exceptional talent behind the decks, quite a prospect for fans new and old.
DOUGLAS GREED PUBLICARÁ UN ÁLBUM DE REMIXES DE «DRIVEN»
NewsUno de los lanzamientos más interesantes en lo que llevamos de año, es el álbum «Driven» de Douglas Greed (comentado en Transistora). Desde BPitch Control nos informan de que el próximo 11 de julio se publicará un álbum de remixes firmados por Seth Troxler, Chloe, Marco Resmann, dBridge y Feadz.
